January 2010
We are pleased to announce that as of January 2010, we will be providing access to an in-house endodontist(root canal specialist). For patients who require such treatment, this will make referral to a specialist a seamless experience, without the need to visit another practice.

December 2009
The development of the building at 38 Devonshire Street is continuing, with a complete refurbishment of the basement, to accommodate ancillary facilities for the practice and staff, including a fully-fitted seminar room ensuring continued professional development for the team, and our colleagues. A full programme of lectures, seminars and study clubs is being planned.
This year has seen the permanent Onishenko exhibition being replenished with new paintings to brighten the building during the winter months. Patients, colleagues and visitors to the building have already been enjoying his exceptional neo-impressionist work since the summer of 2009, and some have taken the opportunity to purchase a particular favourite from the artist.

November 2009
Our involvement with the Prague-based artist Alexandr Onishenko continued, when 38 Devonshire Street sponsored the music for his exhibition of new work at the City’s Smithfield Gallery. At the opening night on 9th November, composer Michael Omer performed an improvised piano piece to one of Alexandr’s new paintings, at the moment of its unveiling. The evening’s guests also heard the third performance of ‘Passing through Birches’ for violin and piano(with Siân Philipps, violin) originally commissioned by Gaynor Barrett for the Sounds of Light event at the Florence Hall, RIBA in May this year. May 2009
38 Devonshire Street is thrilled to be sponsoring an exhibition of oil paintings by the Ukrainian artist Alexandr Onishenko in the stunning Florence Hall at the Royal Institute of British Architects in Portland Place. Music is to be written by the very talented British composer Michael Omer www.michaelomer.com to be performed using a variety of instruments and inspired by a number of the paintings.
We look forward to this exciting collaboration between two masters of their respective arts and all who attend are in for a treat. The pictures and music will be produced specially for this one evening event.
We hope that many patients will take the opportunity to attend. Please express your interest by e-mailing jane-louise@38devonshirestreet.co.uk or telephoning the practice on 020 7935 5354.

December 2008
We were pleased to welcome Marion Autrum to 38 Devonshire Street for an evening in which she showcased her beautiful handcrafted bespoke jewellery. Her passion for innovative design and uncompromised craftsmanship is unquestionable. Marion’s use of the unusual contemporary “Spirit” and “Context” cuts of diamond along with the various colours of gold, diamond and pearl were a fascinating insight into the creative art of a jeweller-designer at the very top of her field.
We have recognized for some time the parallels that can be drawn between the creativity involved in the making of bespoke fine jewellery and the crown and bridge restorations we make at 38 Devonshire Street which fit within microns and match in colour, contour, texture and translucency to the other teeth.
We hope that Marion will return in 2009 and further our appreciation of the skill and attention to detail which makes a piece of simple contemporary jewellery into a masterpiece.

October 2008
Dr Gaynor Barrett competed in (and completed) the London Half Marathon which she ran in aid of “Get Kids Going” a charity that provides sports equipment for disabled children. Many thanks to all those who supported her with sponsorship.

October 2008
The refurbishment of the Hallway, Staircase, Waiting room and Dr Zanaboni’s surgery was finally completed in October 2008.
We are all thrilled with the way the true beauty of our lovely building has been brought out and the quality of the original workmanship is impossible to miss. Although we have had months of dust and noise, both the team and patients all agree that it was worth the effort and the result is a wonderful environment in which to work or receive dental treatment, of which we feel very proud. Many thanks to all our patients for your incredible understanding and enthusiasm as the project unfolded.
